    I hope your kindly cooperation. 🙂

    I upgraded Amazon polly plugin from ver 1.0.11 to ver 2.0.2.

    1. Regarding ‘post excerpt to audio’ function, how can i found excerpt data?
    guid said, ‘If enabled, each audio file will have post excerpt at the beginning.’.
    I have checked to enabled but my db data created ‘amazon_polly_audio_link_location’ and it is just full audio file. I wanna use excerpt audio.

    2. If create new data or change data for post excerpt, how can i make excerpt data for prior to upgrade? should i do bulk action again? (i have posts about 3,800 already) should i pay convert cost again?

    3. what is ‘amazon_polly_transcript_en’? where can i use this data?
    (I didn’t check ‘Enable translation support’)

    I feel and appreciate that the bulk action is noticeably faster without stop issue.

    Hi,
    1) excerpt is something which is part of standard WP, it’s description of the post/site which you can create. Check this link: https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/temp-245345342542534542352345/s1.png – if you enable it, then under the post you have got a new field (https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/temp-245345342542534542352345/s2.png) – where you can provide some additional text. If you will do it, and you will enable polly function, it will be added to final Audio file.

    2) If you would like to add excerpt again to previous posts (and you are using this WP functionality), then yes, you would need to convert it again.

    3) This one will be used only when at the end you will be using Translate functionality. We will probably implement it a bit different in future, so that this field/attribute wouldn’t be created, if you didn’t enable Translate at all. Sorry for confusion here.

    1 and 2 are clear!
    3… actually I didn’t get it clearly because I’v not used traslate function properly at wordpress. Is it related with _e( $text, $domain )?

    pls refer to my status; (i will call ‘amazon_polly_transcript_en’ a transcript)
    – posts written in only english and also convert audio using english voice
    – I’m not planning to translate to another language
    – I didn’t enable ‘Amazon Translate configuration’ field when I config polly setting (I’m not sure this field related with transcript)
    – after posting, my db has transcript data

    I’m confused because of the transcript data created without my purpose.
    you said “this field/attribute wouldn’t be created, if you didn’t enable Translate at all.” but I didn’t enable translate something…
    Can I treat transcript date as basic(default) data?

    I’m sorry to bother you but it will help me a lot. ;(

    You don’t bother me, and it’s rather my mistake that the code is not clear, so it should be me who apologize 🙂

    If you don’t enable translate functionality you should completely ignore ‘amazon_polly_transcript_en’ – this is something which is being used only when translate is enabled, otherwise it’s just a ‘trash’ (and yes, this will be default data). We will modify this behaviour in next release so it wouldn’t be created 🙂

    It’s should be fixed in latest release (the incorrect use of this ‘amazon_polly_transcript_en’ variable). Closing the case.
