    Having installed site kit to verify google search console, only problem is, the code is showing on the website for all to see, i have tried clearing caches and browser data, but still showing, I am new to WordPress and still learning my way around, any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks for reaching out @garycrystal2024. The Site Kit verification code on your site is used to connect and verify your site with Search Console. If you wish to not use this, you can reset Site Kit and verify your site via other means manually in Search Console, before then connecting Site Kit once more.

    By resetting your site, you and any other users connected to the plugin, will need to re-configure the plugin again, connecting to all previously connected modules.

    Note also that Site Kit doesn’t place a verification code by default, it first of all users a virtual HTML page verification in Search Console. If that fails for whatever reason, only then is the meta tag which you’re referring used, as a backup verification method.
