Verification File Not Created

I am hosting with WordPress Engine (WPE) and with all my sites hosted here the plugin appeared to work from the settings page, I pasted my verification and hit save and saw the “settings saved” notification. But when I attempted to verify my site it failed.

After dealing with technical support they were able to adjust some permissions making it possible for the plugin add the folder but not the file. In the end I just manually added the file, it was less trouble.

I figured it’s worth noting this here in case someone else comes across the same issue.
