Verification url not working

The users activation link on my website is not working. {account_activation_link} If this code is used, the activation link is always shown as expired.

This is probably a network or email client issue.
A network/Firewall or proxy is looking at the destination URL if it’s secure and UM is taking this for the user confirmation.
Maybe the email client also doing this preview of the URL content for security and then the link is expired for the user.
In Outlook you can temporarily turn off Link preview.
Have you tried to login even if you get this error?
One issue I had was this step:
Add the Landing Page slug to your UM Settings -> Access -> Restriction Content -> Exclude the following URLs and click “Add new URL”That is not an option on my version of UM
