Version 0.17: only link + main image published

Hi Matthias,

Following with my previous post, my latest posts generate “almost” empty posts on Mastodon: only the title & featured image are published.

No tags, no excerpt, although they appear in the “custom” area, as described in previous post.

Tried to save settings again, just in case, but nothing changed…

PS: all the emojis are gone too…
PS2: stopped trying to use my various parameters as they’re not supported by your plugin as part of the URL, although it works with the Mastodon AutoPost plugin…

Do you use „WordPress Post Format“ or „Article“ as Activity-Type? If so, please switch to „Note“. I had a bug in previous versions where the setting was ignored and where the plugin only used „Note“.

Indeed, that’s what I used previously (it worked BTW…).

Will try today to see what happens and will tell you.

I am sorry for the circumstances! I would recommend to always use „Note“. Everything else is not really supported by Mastodon!

Hello Matthias,

I come back to the topic again.
Installed is:
WP 6.2.2
ActivityPup: 0.17
Theme: TT3

The settings:
Post content: default
Number of images: 3
Object Type: Note

The featured image is present in Mastodon. But unfortunately the featured images are missing. Only the alt text of the image is displayed in Mastodon.

Addendum: The images from a WordPress post are also missing at Pixelfed. So it’s not just about Mastodon specifically.

That is only the fearured Image of the post. But there are two more images in the post. You have two go to the original Post https://reisen-und-ankern.de/test-7

That is a known issue. The plugin does not parse the HTML code, but uses the attachments of a post instead. And if the images are not added as attachments, they will be ignored for now.
