Can you tell me when/where it made the 500 error?
Was it immediately after update, or did it occur when you went to a specific page?
Is there an error log you can grab from FTP that will give more details?
I have 1.6.1 installed on my live site and it is working fine and I can not re-produce the error. Let me know as much detail as you can.
Also send me the setting you have in:
Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog
for SHOP PAGE DISPLAY and CATEGORY DISPLAY and DEFAULT PRODUCT SORTING
It was immediately after the update and the error is for the whole website. But I had access to the admin dashboard.
I used another plugin to roll back to 1.6.0 and the problem solved.
