I was able to roll back to the previous version 1.7.4 by visiting the following link and installing it manually:
https://downloads.wp.xz.cn/plugin/validated-field-for-acf.1.7.4.zip
That’s strange – I was able to upgrade my servers with no problem, however they are on ACF5. That said, the only change in 1.7.5 was for compatibility with the latest version of ACF5 – 5.2.6 – which has its own file in my plugin so the ACF4 code didn’t change at all.
You’re safe using 1.7.4 for now, but future releases might have changes you need. Can you try removing the validated field plugin then install the latest from the repository? Nothing in the database is touched, and you should be able to go back to 1.7.4 using the link you posted above.
Thanks!
You know, I gotta wonder if it was a glitch on the reinstall. Let me retry to upgrade again, I did have this happen one time before on another server. Reinstalling fixed that other plugin that got deactivated, but let me check again.
Hi @mkormendy – were you able to test again? Is 1.7.5 working for you?
I just upgraded, everything works fine – must have been a botched install process. Thanks for all your help!
