version 2.02 makes other plugins unusable

    hi, ive been working on a few sites and have found that if i update to the latest version of this great little plugin it is then causing issues with other plugins

    to give an example we can no longer use visual composer to edit content – we can see the content but any of the options to edit the content are no longer available and it simply loops as if trying to load

    gravity forms if using ajax are stuck in the loading screen of death

    as soon as we disable snippets as a plugin it all returns to normal

    i have an older version of the plugin [version 1.9.1.1] which i have kept handy to install as this one was stable and you can edit content etc. and with this version, visual composer, gravity forms works etc.

    however, if you do a clean install of SNIPPETS to latest version, or update the plugin the above won’t work. even if you deactivate and uninstall the plugin and roll back to the version above, the issue persists.

    any ideas as to what may be the cause?

    I don’t use Visual Composer or Gravity Forms, but I will do some testing and see if I can reproduce this error.

    So I’ve installed Gravity Forms, Visual Composer, and the latest version of Code Snippets on a brand new testing site, and I am able to successfully create a new AJAX form and submit it, as well as edit a page in Visual Composer and add new sections.

    I’m not really sure what could be causing this issue. Perhaps it has been fixed in the latest version of Code Snippets? Or maybe it is specific to your environment. I also can’t really see how the Code Snippets plugin could be causing issues with other plugins in this way; it mostly keeps to its own admin pages, except of course when running snippets. Could it possibly be an error in a snippet?

    i think it has been fixed in latest version Shea – i’ve since did a couple of installs and it appears to be working fine again so unsure what was going on?

    cyberspace… no place for wimps!

    thanks once again for looking into it, your plugin is an invaluable resource which I use frequently
