version 2.7 and 2.7.1?

    Hi,

    I am not sure if 2.7.1 is 2.7 or two different ones. I just finished install WP via fantastico /new install 2.7 and I presumed it loaded up the latest version, but then I don’t remember where exactly in ADMIN it askes me if I want to upgrade to 2.7.1. And then in WP homepage says download 2.7.1 but it all talks about 2.7. Can some please clear this cloud. Thanks.

    Hi

    Fantastico runs a bit behind software suppliers’ latest releases. WP 2.7.1 is mostly a bug fix release that came out a few weeks ago.

    The upgrade option is under Tools. It is a good idea to keep current with new WP releases as they fix security vulnerabilities also.
