Version 5.4 broke publishing new posts

I updated to 5.4.0 today, and after that the latest post in my blog was published. The post didn’t appear in Mastodon, so I started digging. I noticed that earlier posts were appear as a “Create” message in the outbox, but this latest post only has “Update” messages. There’s three update messages for the “Seurustelusalaliitto” post in the outbox, and the oldest one should be a “Create”.
In my publishing process the posts are queued and when they are published, they are changed from a custom status to “publish”. I wonder if something changed in version 5.4.0 that causes this to appear as “Update” instead of “Create”.
I rolled back to 5.3.2 as that should work, but hopefully you can fix this issue in a future version.
