After updating to the latest version of the plugin, trying to upload new images results in a WordPress error. If I deactivate your plugin or revert to the previous version, everything works correctly again.

Please fix the issue as soon as possible.

Thank you very much for your great plugin and excellent work.

    Best regards.

    Hi @emiliocalvo,

I am so sorry about this! Do you mind checking your PHP Error Logs to find out what the error is?

I’m sorry, but I don’t see any error in the error log — the error was returned directly by WordPress.

    Best regards.

    Hey @emiliocalvo! 👋

Could you please contact me directly at https://meowapps.com/support/? We haven’t received any similar reports direclty, and I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue on a test server either. Without logs, it’s a bit difficult to pinpoint the cause.

Reaching out through the support will allow me to check your options directly and better understand what’s going on. Please mention this thread when you contact us so I know it’s related to you. Thanks!

Same error with another client. With the plugin active, trying to upload an image shows the following message:

    Alpine.jpg
Sorry, you are not allowed to upload this type of file.

When the plugin is deactivated, it works without any issues.

    Best regards.

I’ve already opened a ticket for you at https://meowapps.com/support/.

By the way, the issue has occurred both in a standard installation and in a multisite.

Let me know what you find.

    Best regards.

The issue has been identified and will be resolved in the next release. In the meantime, for anyone experiencing this problem, make sure not to enable the Trigger on Attachment Update if you have any Sync Fields (Post-Rename Events) enabled. Note that this is a PRO feature, and this forum is intended for users of the free version only. Thanks!

    (@emiliocalvo)

Please do not mark the issue as resolved, as it is not resolved and only goes away if your plugin is deactivated.

Thank you very much in advance.

    Best regards.

    Hi @emiliocalvo,

It should be resolved 🙂 Are you using the latest version of Media File Renamer? It should be 6.1.1.

    Thread Starter Emilio Calvo

    (@emiliocalvo)

I’m sorry, but I’ve just updated to version 6.1.1 and it’s still the same:

There was an error uploading “repuestos-jpg”
Sorry, you are not allowed to upload this type of file.

Therefore, it’s still failing exactly the same way. If I deactivate the plugin, everything works without any issues.

    Best regards.

@emiliocalvo sould be “repuestos.jpg” and not “repuestos-jpg” … someting wrong in the fix on image updates, do u have any “mfrh” custom filters running ?

    Thread Starter Emilio Calvo

    (@emiliocalvo)

The file is called repuestos.jpg, but when uploading it, it returns the error I mentioned.

    Best regards.

    Hey @emiliocalvo! 👋

The issue has been resolved in the latest versions of the plugin, so this seems to be something else. If your file is being renamed in a way that corrupts the filename, there must be a specific reason why. Please contact me directly through Meow Apps support so I can check your configuration. Thanks!

Thank you very much. Now it’s resolved.

    Best regards.
