    Hi,

This ticket is a follow-up to the topic “Vertical shift while hovering over links” posted a few weeks ago. The links on which I had set a vertical shift when hovering again encounter the same problem, that is to say that the animation no longer works on mouseover, while all the Elementor experiences are deactivated.
I would be grateful if you help me fix this bug once and for all!
    Thanks for your help.

    Best regards

  • Hi,

Does the issue appear when all the experiments are deactivated?

    Hi,

Indeed, I had deactivated all experiments as advised by Elementor support and everything was working normally… until today.
Do not hesitate to refer to the subject “Vertical shift while hovering over links” to have the history of the tests carried out.

    Hi,

To troubleshoot the issue please try this guideline:
Make sure you are using the most updated versions of Elementor, WordPress & your theme. Sometimes it isn’t apparent that there is an update available. Go to Dashboard > Updates and click the Check Again button to be sure. (Make sure to back up your site).
Regenerate the CSS via Elementor > Tools > Regenerate CSS on your WordPress Dashboard. (Make sure to back up your site).
Go to Elementor > Settings on your WordPress dashboard. Click the Advanced tab and then switch the CSS print method to Internal embedding.
Clear all cache: your browser’s cache, other plugins’ cache, server cache (if possible).

If the issue persists, deactivate all plugins apart from Elementor. If this helps, reactivate them one by one to find the culprit.
If it didn’t help, switch your theme (temporarily) to a default WordPress theme such as Twenty Sixteen and see if it makes any difference.

In addition, Make sure that your system follows all the requirements for Elementor to work correctly. You can check this information in WP Dashboard > Elementor > System Info.`

    Hi,

Thank you for your quick reply. I confirm that all my versions of WordPress, Elementor and my theme were up to date.
I followed your instructions and regenerated the CSS and data. As in my previous tests, this solved the hover animation problem on my links. However, the CSS printing method was set to “External file”, so I switched it to “Internal embedding” to respect your recommendations. I also cleared all my plugins and browser caches as requested.
Here, I hope that having changed the CSS printing method will definitely solve the bug, if not I will keep you informed. Please don’t close this thread until I see how things are going.

    Best regards

    Hi,

What I feared has happened: the problem has just happened again… Regarding the other extensions and the theme, deactivating them does not change anything.
    Do you have another solution?

    Hi,

switch your theme (temporarily) to a default WordPress theme such as Twenty Sixteen and see if it makes any difference.
