Hi Mark,
There are a lot of factors that play into your site’s loading time. And it could be more than one thing slowing down your site. However, there are a few things you can check.
First, try to rule out any theme or plugin issues. Temporarily switch back to the default Twenty Twelve theme, and turn off all of your plugins. Then test the site, and see if the performance is any better. If it is, then the culprit was probably a theme or plugin. Try activating them again one by one, testing the site after each. Then if you notice a decrease in performance after activating one, it’s likely that was the cause. You can also run the P3 Plugin Performance Profiler.
If that didn’t take care of the problem, you can install the Debug Bar and Debug Bar Extender. Both of these tools can help you analyze and debug issues.
Last but not least, you can analyze what’s being served on the front end of your site with tools like YSlow and Page Speed. I just ran your site through them both on GTmetrix, and while there is room for improvement, nothing really jumps out at me: http://gtmetrix.com/reports/limpbizkitfanboy.com/8BqTPN0B
There is no “one-size-fits-all” solution, but if you try doing the above you may be able to pinpoint where the issues are stemming from.
Thanks for helping out,
I tried P3 Plugin performance Profiler but nothing showed up. Is there anything that runs similarly to this that checks everything on the site? I don’t get Debug Bar at all.
You should also contact your host and explain them the issue. There could be a longer wait and connect time due to some server issue.

Mark – Debug Bar is pretty advanced, so you may want to hold off on it for now. It’s a great tool, but it can be hard to navigate and also shouldn’t be run on a production site. If you do want to learn more about it, check out this article: http://www.charlestonsw.com/intro-to-debug-bar-debugging-wordpress-with-a-plugin/
Aside from that, I would try the other steps mentioned. Have you contacted your host? Perhaps your site is just on a busy cluster.
I sorted out the issue, it was the Jetpack plugin.
Thanks for all your help!
