Very strange default

    I created my first gallery – or is it an album? It was, of course, extremely easy and intuitive, but when I refreshed my page, all 8 or so images appear in a kind of montage. This must be “the default,” because I was NOT asked what I wanted to see. SURELY, more users would prefer that one of the images, almost surely the first one uploaded, would be there as a “placeholder” for the slideshow I/he/she are trying to create…. I even saw an option involving “preview,” and it DOES ask you to choose from the images in the gallery. Obviously, it is ignoring my choice. What gives?

    NEVER MIND, anybody inclined to help, because this WAS simple enough for me to self-correct.

    HOWEVER, I stand by my – good software (and I’m sure this IS basically that!) chooses its DEFAULT SETTINGS AND FUNCTIONING with CARE!! That is YOU COULD – these days – turn a car’s radio on to the station you listened to last when the motor gets started. But that would NOT be appreciated by most drivers – well, that’s my guess. So the radio starts OFF. ANY SLIDESHOW belonging to NG should default to the option I am certain that 90% would prefer. This one’s not even close!
