Video Backgrounds BUG!

    We were told by Divi theme to post a request here.

    We are using video backgrounds. One of our backgrounds is 750 kb. But when loading the page, the background is downloaded THREE times (one each for desktop, tablet and mobile). PLUS, since this background is used other places, each time it is re-downloaded multiple times. I’m not sure how many times for this page, but it’s too much!

    Pics do not get downloaded mutiple times when they are used for different devices or multiple times on a page. So … why can’t videos work the same way?

    This would be a great feature to offer all WordPress users. Any genius out there who can solve this??

    It’s not clear why you were sent here. WP core does not manage backgrounds, that is a feature offered by themes. WP core outputs data. How that data looks is up to the theme.
