• I am using WP Film plugin and it worked well, but somewhere down the line of me customizing my site, it stopped working and i’m not sure when it happened. The embed codes and the youtube link are displaying on the front end. I’ve tried testing shortcodes on the WordPress and Elementor page editors and they work well. I was not successful with testing the same shortcode on the WP Film plugin content editor, as the short code also showed up as plain text on the front end. I have tried to disable all plugins except WP Film plugin and it still did not work. I changed my theme and it still did not work.

If I can get some assistance to figure out what has happened, I would love to continue using this plugin.

    Hello @kronos1 ,

Thank you very much for reaching out and for sharing the detailed explanation of the issue.

We’ve checked the problem you mentioned on our end, but so far we haven’t been able to reproduce or identify the exact cause of the issue. However, we completely understand how important this is for your workflow.

Our development team is now investigating this further to see if there’s any underlying conflict or edge case causing the shortcode to appear as plain text inside the WP Film content editor. If we find any issue from our side, we’ll make sure to fix it and release an update as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience and for your continued interest in using the plugin. We truly appreciate your support, and we’ll keep you informed once we have more details.

Please feel free to reach out if you notice anything else or have additional information that might help us during the investigation.

    Best regards,
    Kamal

Hi, I figured out the issue. The old [embedyt] short code output text, but if I remove the “yt”, it works again.

    Hi @kronos1,

Thank you very much for the update.

Yes, you can continue using the shortcode by removing “yt”, and it should work correctly as you’ve noticed. We appreciate you sharing this finding.

We’ve forwarded this information to our development team so they can investigate the behavior further and check if any improvements or fixes are needed in future updates.

If you notice anything else or need further assistance, please feel free to let us know.

    Best regards,
    Kamal
