Video loading after the page

    Hi there, I am having issue with the initial load of my site.

    I want to have a showreel video at the top but at the moment a new user would see a black bar for a few seconds before the video loads and not a full screen one for a few seconds. The video is only 3mb which isn’t bad at all for a showreel!

    The video background loads fine on if the Basic settings are applied, but as soon as the recommended one is set then the black bar appears instead of the full screen (as screengrab above).

    Hopefully someone can help me, I have spent a while turning settings on and off but I haven’t got anywhere!

    please provide the report number

    you can get it in toolbox -> report -> click “send to LiteSpeed”

    the page is giving me 404 error

    but based on your description , it’s more like some options caused trouble on Advance preset , please try disable options in Page Optimization one by one , to narrow down which option that is , then we will see what to do next , most likely in JS or CSS tab.

    Hi qtwork,

    Thanks for getting back to me, so I have been away and have done what you said.

    I was hoping that one of the attached bits of js. Preferably backgroundSelfVideo would have been the holy grail and excluding that would have worked.

    But sadly not.

    I have tried every setting and just don’t know what to do.

    It is only 1 second that the user gets dealt with an odd screen, not perfect, but not the end of the world either.

    But there must be something that just gets the box that the video should be in, or at least a black screen with the nav in. After all there is a black band there.

    The site is live now anyway!

    it would still be better if you can narrow down which option caused the issue , just adding string into js exlcude might be wrong path.

    Hi qtwrk.

    I have disabled guest mode and by switching ‘JS Combine’ on that was when the header and video section took a lot longer to load.

    It does the same when deferred or delayed is clicked but that would be expected with the names of them.

    I have a lot of the settings set to on and all the cache and lazy load items off.

    Also now it seems to be the header fast but then when the rest of the page loads the video loads from the begining
