    Ok, I am not sure what the problem was. I resaved the playlist but did not change anything and now it is working. Let me know if it turns up again and the I will do some more debugging.

    Is there any option to add the thumbnails for the playlist as in here

    Yes, you should be able to copy the CSS provided there and paste it in the child theme.
