    Hi,

I am evaluating the live composer plugin and following the video tutorial. I have the plugin working and I wanted to follow the tutorial precisely. I have been able to add text as per the video, but then the video shows project content being placed on the page. I think that this content needs to be pre-built in the backend as a project? I presume that each image is created as a separate project? Please could someone confirm that this is correct. Also are the images available so that I could create the page exactly as the one in the video. The video in question is <iframe width=”528″ height=”396″ src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/HD2wn2d4Frw&#8221; frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen></iframe>

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

    Hi,

The video is a demonstration with added content ( posts, projects, galleries ). So, you do need to add posts, projects, galleries… in the admin in order for the modules that output a listing of those to have some content.

    Hi Slobodan,

Thank you for your reply and for creating an incredible and simply brilliant plugin.

I was wondering, as I am trying to follow the video tutorial precisely, are the images and any other backend requirements available so that I can insert them into my site for testing?

    Kind Regards
    Anwar

    Hi Anwar,

You’re welcome and thank you, I’m happy to hear you like it.

As for an option to import “content for testing”, it would be a good option to have, I’ll add that to the to do list.

We can’t redistribute those images ( they’re commercial, the license does not allow redistribution ) but we could use a simple placeholder image for that.

    Hi Slobodan,

Yes – placeholder images would be fine. I have found some images imported for testing. I then created 8 projects. I then added a featured image to each. This enabled me to insert using the projects tab as shown in the video. There was no second line of text showing which gallery the images were held within such as web, illustrations etc. Not a real problem but just a difference that I am not able to resolve at the moment. Then I went on to create a galleries for Web, Advertising, Branding and Illustrations. I added images as required and then as before I added featured images. I then inserted the gallery and that also worked. Now I would like to know – on the video when the ‘..anglo white’ image is clicked the user is taken to another page. When I click on it the url is …/the-official-anglo-white. This is a blank page with create template button in bottom right corner. Do I create a corresponding new page or do I require a template? I am trying to understand how this part of the service works?

BTW I may create some images that are similar and make them available to all users as a resource FOC.

    Kind Regards
    Anwar

    Hi,

The second line “web, illustrations” are categories, you can apply them in the admin.

As for the template, yes, go ahead and create a template for that post type and set the “Type” to default. Then visit the template and you can use Live Composer to build the template. All the posts of that post type will then use that template as a base.

    Give this a check http://livecomposerplugin.com/docs/post-templates/

    Hi

Excellent. I now have the second line in place- as per video. And I have configured the template and when I click on a project image the template is displayed and is editable.

I am a beginner so just bear with me as I develop my knowledge. The tool FEE is fantastic – my knowledge of how to properly use it poor but developing. Thanks.
