Viper's Video Quicktags without flash

    I have used VVQ for a long time and it made life a lot easier. But as there are more and more devices coming along (latest my android tablet with chrome) that don’t do flash any more – see the huge iPad/iPhone crowd, I am now looking for a better solution to embed youtube videos with the iframe embed code (from youtube itself). Youtube does deliver H246 videos that run without flash and VVQ now just puts an swf player in the middle that deprives all the poor iOS users of watching youtube videos on my blog 🙁
    Anything in the planning to go with the flow and ditch flash?

    My plugin would need extensive rewriting, basically from scratch. I started on it a few years back but lost interest in working on it honestly.

    The functionality I wrote for core WordPress is just so much easier to use and it is what I use on my own blog instead of my plugin now.

    The drawback is you can’t customize it but that was going to be the purpose of the new version of my plugin (it was going to build on top of the core functionality).
