Virtual Directory issues with Permalinks

Hey Guys,

Got a big issue for you. We have an ISAPI Rewrite Module setup on our server (IIS 6) and the recommended RewriteRule’s on the WordPress site work great.

Except when you actually have a directory that you want to act as virtual. For example, I have a page in WordPress that I want to be http://www.example.com/news. Now we have a physical directory “news” where we store all our newsletter pdfs. So that we don’t have to rewrite a bunch of links, it’d be great if we could keep the pdf’s in the directory and use a virtual page for that URL as there’s no index file in the directory.
