Have setup table rate shipping based around cart value and it works great.

I have generated myself a problem, one of my suppliers has agreed to ship some products for me and with free postage. I have had a good look round and the obvious way to do it was to set them as virtual products no shipping costs, however they are still included in the total price.

Anything I can do exclude this product from the shipping costs.

Sorry should also add I’m new to this so it may have been a stupid question! also I still need to charge delivery on any other items in the cart.

    Cheers

    Hi Nige,

This would require using shipping classes, which is supported by Table Rate Shipping Plus.

    Example setup:

    1. Create a “free shipping” shipping class and apply it to your free shipping products.
    2. Use the “per shipping class” calculation method in Table Rate Shipping Plus.
    3. Enter a rate for the “free shipping” class, with zero cost.

This would enable shipping cost calculation excluding the free shipping products.

I hope this makes sense, but if you purchase the plugin and need any help setting up just let me know.
