Visibility function not working

    I have not previously needed to password protect a page/post.
    Today when I tried to set up a Page, when I clicked the “Edit” link nothing happened. nothing.

    I know there is supposed to be an expanded menu with options. that does not appear.

    also, out of curiosity, the “Status: Draft Edit” option does not work either.

    This function works on another wordpress (same version, same server) that I manage.

    I am using Firefox on Vista.

    edit to add: I just tested this function on IE and it works. what I cannot figure out is why one site works in firefox and the other doesn’t.

    I am not sure what to check.

    I would try disabling all your plugins first, and if that doesn’t work, try switching to the default theme.

    There may be some function that is blocking you from editing those pages.

    If that doesn’t work, I would try re-uploading all the WordPress core files to your site.

    Same happened with me – I used Google Chrome and it worked – then I went straight back to FireFox
