visit site button not responding

    Hi, I have ben trying to get my site up and running in the little spare time I have but now when I’m logged in and click the visit site button to check my changes it tries to load the page but nothing happens and internet explorer eventualy times out, so I cannot see what changes and the site is not yet in a position to go live so I would like to leave the underconstruction page up.
    Any help I can get with this would be appreciated.
