Visitors cannot enter without password

    I’ve just been informed by an acquaintance who tried to visit my blog that visitors are asked for username and password. Obviously only I have this information, so I guess I can assume that NO ONE has visited my blog successfully. Why is this happening, and how do I fix it?

    I checked the site linked in your profile, and yes, I got a password pop-up. It went away after I clicked cancel twice.

    It asked for the password to cPanel, so unless you have any idea why that happens it might be worth sending a support ticket to your host. Could be something at their end.

    You have a permissions problem on your server for the directory in which the WordPress installation resides. If you need help, you’re going to need to post the type of OS you (or your webhost) is utilizing, and the web server “engine” such as Apache or IIS.
