OK, I’ve purged all the cache on my MaxCDN CDN then immediately got two lovely spam comments that were missed by Akismet then I logged out and successfully posted a comment with the ID of a regular commenter and so it appears to be back to normal.
However, I’ve no idea what happened here and I would love to know how to stop it happening again.
I don’t go around leaving comments all the time and I am getting this same error message when posting a comment on someone’s blog and I have never posted a comment on it before. It would be nice to know what the issue is.
Having same issue on clients site. Any ideas on a fix would be appreciated.
Ok I’ve been testing and it seems there’s an issue with GASP. Deactivate and problem goes away. Also, can’t update the plugin.
Please post in the plugin’s own sub-forum per

Starting your own thread would be good as well.
Thank you WPyogi. I’ve already been there and posted the issue.
I’ve managed to update GASP. I’m still getting messages. But then I don’t know how many people have had this issue and not notified me of it.
Andy Bailey (GASP plugin author) has reported that he has fixed the issue http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/cant-leave-comments-4?replies=4
I’ve been getting a bit of spam as well.

Everything else seems to be fine. I’ve optimized and repaired the database, deleted spam comments.
I have Akismet, GASP and Subscribe to Comment Reloaded.
