Visitors create accounts

I was wondering whether a plugin had been written which enabled site visitors to register and create profile pages and so on. Much like this site which uses xoops: http://www.cubed3.com

Ideally visitors could visit the site register or login and then view:

– A “personal” menu which may include new PM’s (if a forum such as phpBB or punBB could be implemented with wordpress)
– A “profile” page (which maybe they could edit, may use forums profile feature)
– Recent comments made and/or posts made in the forum etc.

Basically a place where visitors could log in to view contributions they have mde to a blog/site such as comments or posts made on a forum. They could also view PM’s sent to them from other registered users (forum feature integrated) and so on…

Just a thought, I hope its been done,
