We’ve confirmed this issue and created a bug report for it on GitHub.
The easiest fix for now is setting your meta description manually by clicking the current meta description and adding the correct one.

Hi Taco, the meta description is fine, its simply the problem with Yoast not recognising what is the first par on the post page for us i think? My key word is 3 words in on the first paragraph.

Can you post a screenshot of your content and focus keyword please?
That might be helpful in determining the cause of the issue you’re experiencing.
Hey ive looked at the GitHub and i think its simply the reason that Yoast is reading the Visual Composer shortcode rather than the text content of the text block. I could be mistaken?

Had to rolllllll back to the latest version 2 to fix the issues version 3’s are causing.
You guys have some serious work to do on the next release.
