    Hi.

I created a donation form with custom fields on a multilingual site.
Some are created with the Visual Donation Form Builder others are generated with functions.php.

I edited the plugin .po and .mo files for each languages.
But how can I translate custom fields’ labels, placeholders and descriptions for each languages ?

    Kind regards.
    Gérôme

    Hi @ger0me ,

Glad you reached out! Happy to clarify.

Currently, it isn’t possible to translate custom fields. However, there’s a feature request for what you’re asking about: https://givewp.featureos.app/p/ability-to-translate-custom-fields.

We are actively tracking user feedback to understand further the needs you all have. You can use the link to check in for updates or to provide additional details of your own. I would encourage you to comment on that post about the impact this would have on your organization. Information like that is always helpful for our teams to see. I’ve also linked your ticket internally, so if this feature request is developed, we can reach out to update you.

Give the post above a look, and let me know if there are any additional details you would like me to add. I want to ensure your need is as accurately reflected as possible, and I’m happy to include an internal note to our teams with any specific information you would like them to have.

In your shoes, for now, I would create different forms for each language that you require and then modify the custom fields for each one.

With that said, I’m marking this one as resolved (as we can’t do that currently), but we’ll update this post once we’ve been able to develop this feature.

    Thank you for using GiveWP!

    Have a lovely day.
