Visual Editor
-
I have read numerous posts about the visual editor and none of them apply in my situation. I have numerous blogs and have been blogging for seven years with WordPress. This is only happening with one blog and happens no matter which browser I’m using. I have two things going on.
First, I cannot set the Visual Editor as my default editor. When I hit “add new post” the box comes up with both the HTML and Visual tabs but it is set to HTML. I have to manually switch over Visual. The box is NOT checked on my user profile to disable the visual editor.
Second, when I do switch using the Visual tab, a little white box pops up in the editor in which I am to write my text. The box is about half as wide as the editor and long enough for about three lines of text. I don’t get such a box on any of my other blogs nor do I get it if using the HTML editor–I get the full width of the text editor.
I could deal with the width issue but the length issue is driving me crazy. It used to be that we could set the length but I can’t seem to find that option any longer.
