• Hello

Lately, one of my colleagues and I have noticed a string of unwanted markup getting added to pages when using the Visual editor.

For example, when selecting a block of text and applying the h2 tag, this is the unwanted HTML that appears when switching to the Text editor:

    <h2><span style=”font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.5;”>

What is causing this and how can it be prevented?

Note: The text being edited was hand-typed in: There was nothing copy-pasted, and no markup in the page before the hand-edits.

    Have you seen this?

  • Do NOT switch between visual and text editors!

If you are working using visual editor, finish your work, publish/save it and then if you want to check your work using text editor, open it using text editor. Try this and report back if it helps.
