Visual editor behaving poorly

    It’s really strange. I had not noticed this in 3.5 but on every site I’ve updated to 3.5.1.

    First of all, the shift + return (mac) isn’t creating a line break anymore. No matter what I do, everything has a paragraph return.

    The bigger problem is when I delete a paragraph or a hard return, it changes the style of text block to italic. Here’s the code I saw in html mode <em id="__mceDel">

    I’ve never seen this before. Sometimes, when I try to edit my text it affects text I have a paragraph above what I’m editing. This is REALLY frustrating. I’ve never loved tinyMCE but I can’t have this.

    I have reset all my plugins and deactivated them. It’s not my theme either. I’ve tried this. Any other ideas? Is there something with tinyMCE and 3.5.1?

    thanks. i’ve switched over to firefox on some sites that are more problematic. hope they simplify the link / title relationship also.
