visual editor blank

I recently offered to help get a website off the ground, but every time I try to edit a page the editor’s visual aspect is blank. It worked at first, but after making edits and updating one or two times, I would lose the visual aspect and be unable to work on the site. I read somewhere that clearing my browsers cache would bring the visual aspect back, so I tried that and it worked, but only long enough for me to make one or two edits. For awhile, I went through the annoying process of editing, updating, losing the visual, clearing cache, logging in again, editing more, updating, losing the visual aspect again, clearing cache, and so on. Until that stopped working. I spent the month of January trying to resolve this issue with themeforest (site is running the Enfold theme) only to have them tell me in the end it’s a WordPress issue, not a theme one.
