Visual editor in users is checked.
I haven’t any .htaccess files.
Basic editor works fine.
And I don’t know what the problem is.

Are you maybe running NoScript?
I’ve been beating my head against this since yesterday after moving my site. I’ve just realized that I didn’t have scripting enabled for the new site.
Maybe a dumb question, but how can you tell if you have scripting enabled?
I’m having the same issue. It happened in my previous version of WP (even in 2.1.2) and is now happening in my recently installed version of 2.6.2 . There seems to be quite a few of us with this issue.
Does anyone have any updates or new ideas on this issue yet?
check the js_cache under wp-content/uploads/js_cache
you will probably see an old date i.e approx when your visual editor stopped working
