• I have done a lot of search on forum, and tried many different ways, which include:
    – clean all cach.
    – switch themes.
    – deactivate all plugins
    – install editor plugins
    – downgrade to early version
    – and more…
But the Visual Editor just not showing up!!!
After all, I decided to try a fresh 3.3.2 install on a new hosting, and open the site on a reseted browser(firefox 12, chrome), but the Visual Editor still not showing up!!!
This is how it look like, there are text above the red dot line, but the test is in white, so you can’t see it.

    still only showing 1 row

Actually looking at the source code there is a lot there and seems to compare to a working site.

Have you tried this on a different computer and browser?

I will try to have someone else look at this.

Visual Editor problems… This happens to some people and it’s always frustrating. Some people get it working with just define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false); other times it just doesn’t work.

Fortunately it works for the majority of folks, but if it hits you then there’s the frustrating part.

Have you tried this on a different computer and browser?

@lukelee, just as a level set can you create a WordPress.COM blog and confirm that your browser can create/edit posts on that WordPress.COM blog? I just want to confirm that the problem is not your PC/browser.

Please use the exact same browser that you are currently having the problem with.

If that does work without any problems, let’s if we can narrow down any differences with your PHP/Apache web server setup.

Thank you, kmessinger and Jan Dembowski:
I have tried on FF, Opera, Safari, Chrome on mac, then I have tried on FF, IE9 on pc, all have this problem. I can create posts even without visual editor, html editor seems working on most browser, but on IE9,neither editor was working.
another thing I have just noticed, I couldn’t create “WordPress.COM” in category at all, I tried other names, but none of them working on any browsers.

Go here, https://en.wordpress.com/signup/ and setup a test blog. You can call it anything. Then try the editor.

Hi, kmessinger: it works on http://lukeleetest.wordpress.com/, actually I have my personal wordpress site which I just upgraded a few days ago: http://luke.dreamupdating.com.au/, it works fine as well, just this one.

Works on the .COM and another site but not one? That’s good actually cause it’s not your browser. Which you probably knew already I’m just trying to narrow it down. πŸ˜‰

The one that’s not working, that’s on a different server than http://luke.dreamupdating.com.au/?

If it is different then can you make a <?php phpinfo() ?> file on both and share the link to the two?

    Hi, kmessinger and Jan Dembowski:
It is working now, the server admin fixed it, this problem only occurs on testing server, works fine on published site.

That’s good! As this is a thing that occurs often and I’ve never been able to reproduce it, any chance that we can see what’s different on the testing server…?
