visual editor gone when i did update

    hi i have lost all the visual editor capabilities , i have also just looked into my files and configure.php has now been replaced with confirgure-sample.php with none of my DB details , what is going on , I should never have updated , i run a newspaper and use wordpress for all our stories now we cannot edit a damm thing or add anything

    echonet: What the site URL and who is your webhost?

    Doing an auto update will not delete wp-config.php. It could be that you did a manual update and deleted wp-config.php. Ask your webhost to restore a backup.

    i know my dtabase logins , im wondering why the hell when all i did was hit update that i lost my configure file ???? and now i have no visual editor

    im more than capable of tdoing this myself , i would just like some answers or a heads up that this was going to happen when all I did was follow your suggestions and update to 3.51

    There is no reason for the wp-config.php file to be deleted on upgrade. I’ve never heard of that in years of being around here. Whose “suggestions” did you follow?

    The missing visual editor is a completely different deal. Many third party themes are not compatible with WP 3.5.1.

    the suggestion wordpress puts at the top of every dashboard ” there is a new version of wordpress available please upgrade to 3.51′
