First try clearing any caching on your site and browser.
Then check under your user profile that you don’t have the visual editor disabled.
Then try deactivating all plugins.
If still not working, with all plugins deactivated, try switching to the twentythirteen theme to see if it’s a theme issue.
Thanks, unfortunately, I already attempted all of these tricks of the trade with no resolve. I’m absolutely stumped on this one. This happened on the last update. The checkbox to disable visual editor was checked. I unchecked it and everything worked perfect. This time a haven’t the slightest clue on the fix.
I don’t see anything changed on your site – if your plugins won’t deactivate/them won’t change, you’ll need to use FTP to change the name on your plugins folder and on your theme folder:
wp-content
plugins.HOLD
themes
Emerald.HOLD
I updated the theme to 2.1.1 and the visual editor is back to normal. The only issue I have now is my “add media” button doesn’t work. Does anyone have any idea what the resolve is for this issue?
Same troubleshooting steps as the above…
Although first try clearing any caching on your site and browser.
I went through every step from above with no resolve.
I see the same theme and same plugins still…
You could try checking for JavaScript errors –
