Visual Editor Missing in 3.8.1
-
Hi, the Visual Editor is Missing in WP 3.8.1. I downloaded WP 3.8 a few days ago, to begin a site build then updated to 3.8.1
I have deleted and replaced wp-admin and wp-includes folder – no joy. I’ve checked and unchecked the disable visual editor in Users > Your Profile to correct issue – but same thing no visual editor.
I have read many of the posts with similar issues. Any ideas?
I’m about to install WP onto another domain to test. I’ll report back on this.
Thank You

I’ve also tested the following but same problem –

Hi, no sorry that’s not my URL.
Please contact me here.sorry wanted to see it by myself,
i don’t know what’s the problem.Bit nervous about giving passwords out.
what should i do?Same problem w/ visual editor after upgrade to 3.8.1, but only in Firefox, not in Chrome. Found out it was because the visual editor needs Java/Javascript, and my FF add-on of QuickJava had toggled off J/JS when I did the upgrade. Why? God knows! When I switched J/JS back on, visual editor worked fine. Found that only after trying all of the above steps.
Maybe this will help someone…I was just searching for a solution to this issue, as I was having the same problem. I had just installed Advanced SystemCare to help keep my computer as clean as possible. One of the extensions it added to Chrome was “Surfing Protection”. Once I disabled this, the visual editor was back to working just fine. I happened across this solution, as my Google Ads weren’t displaying. I then realized that I had an ad blocker extension loaded as well. So, check your browser extensions and ad-ons…therein might lie the culprit. Hope it helps!
Disabling adblocker will solve the problem 🙂
