Visual Editor not displaying

    Hi All

    I’m having an issue with the visual editor.

    When opening a post or page in the backend i’m only seeing the html editor and not the normal tab selector on the right to enable me to edit in visual mode. I have the standard html buttons and distraction free mode icon in the toolbar in the editor.

    This is the case in Chrome, Firefox and Edge on my win 10 laptop; however the visual editor does work on my android galaxy note 3 phone via the chrome browser.

    To troubleshoot I have….

    1. Disabled all plugins
    2. Changed to default 2016 theme
    3. Reinstalled wordpress update to 4.5.2
    4. Checked to insure ‘Disable the visual editor when writing; is not selected in my profile

    I am seeing the following error in chrome dev tools

    Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘type’ of undefinedh @ bootstrap 847849b…:16 (https://widgets.wp.com/notifications/webpack:/webpack/bootstrap 847849b379fc66d01ce1)

    I’m not sure what this is telling me and am obviously wondering whether this is causing the error.

    Any suggestions for further investigation or fixes?

    any joy with this one? Disabling Jetpack fixes it – certain features of jetpack Id like to use though…
