• Since the last update, in Visual mode, shortcodes are no longer visible, even when put there by hand.
In addition, after making and publishing a page, calling the page again to make some changes, the editor shows this.
It means, changes cannot be made anymore in visual mode.
I’m using the editor in classic mode.

Could you please change this behavior, to let me see my text and shortcodes in Visual mode again?

  • I am also having this issue too. It seems to be in fine in Chrome for me, but Firefox it shows nothing in the TinyMCE iframe. The body/head of the iframe is blank.

Only relevant in the console says: MouseEvent.mozPressure is deprecated. Use PointerEvent.pressure instead at wp-tinymce.js 3:8856

    See image: https://i.imgur.com/uh42PDs.png

I’m also using Advanced Custom Fields so not sure if it’s something between the two.

EDIT: Installing the “Enable jQuery Migrate Helper” as listed in the stickied thread seem to fix it in Firefox. Not sure if that is the best solution going forward but it’s a start.

    Installed and activated that plugin.
    Unfortunately, it didn’t help.
Opening a page in Visual mode, the contents appears for a very short moment, then it disappears and the text field is empty, and I only can see it in text mode.

@casty lookimng at the screenshot, the iframe that is supposedly the “main” editor is actually coming from ACF. Note the HTML id: acf-editor-285_ifr. For the main editor that should be content_ifr. Not sure how/why the ACF instance of TinyMCE is placed on top of the main editor textarea… Perhaps report it to the ACF devs too.

@gunivortus your case seems different but could you look in the browser tools please. Maybe there will be some clues there as with ACF.

I’m having the same issue. When I go to edit text, it only shows text view and no tabs, i.e. no tab that says visual or text. The code says: “wp-editor-tools hide-if-no-js” I’m assuming this is a Javascript issue. I’m running on no sleep and freezing cold, perhaps a kindness would be to put me out of my misery and just give me the obvious answer.

    Thanks in advance.
