Hello there,
If you go to Appearance > Editor > navigate to the templates > add new template, you should be seeing an option to generate a 404 template?
If it’s already been generated, you may see this in the template list.

The Template is there. The Pattern is not.
Hi there, I’m not exactly sure where your screenshot is from, can you tell us a little more about your screenshot and walk us through the steps you’re taking to get to that point? it’s a view we’re not familiar with.
When I check the template list for the theme I see it as expected. Screenshot here: https://d.pr/i/ibyBDE
You did not mention your site address, but what do you see if you visit this URL?
mysite.com/wp-admin/site-editor.php?postType=wp_template by replacing
Just copy and paste that into a new browser window and replace mysite.com with your site URL. If you visit that do you see the 404 template included in your theme? It is not something you should need to download.

The Template is not missing. The Pattern is missing.
1. Go to ww.wp.xz.cn
2. Search Vivre Theme
3. Scroll to Patterns
The 404 page Pattern is the first Pattern on the left in the Patterns part of Vivre, in the Theme directory.
However, when the Theme is installed, that Pattern is not available. It is not on the left part of the Editor under Patterns.
The Template for a 404 page is there (it doesn’t look like the Pattern but I didn’t expect it to). But the Pattern is not.

Hello there,
Hmm, strange – ok so with the installation, please add this to end of the URL.
Can you tell me if you’re seeing the pattern here please:
/wp-admin/site-editor.php?postType=wp_template&postId=pub%2Fvivre%2F%2F404

Thank you @jerrysarcastic and @aleone89
I created a new WordPress install on a different managed WordPress Host (sorry but I had to move forward with the other site and changed themes).
I see the Template that matches the Pattern, but I do not see the Pattern itself in the list of Patterns. However, for my purposes, since the Template matches the Pattern, I have what I need.
I must have torqued the previous install somehow?
@aleone89 : no – I see only a blank white screen when using your suggested link and changing the domain name.

Hello again!
I must have torqued the previous install somehow?
It sure is curious… As before, I’m curious on the old/new hosting providers here.
