    Never mind, figured it out!

    New question: most of the votes only appear when a user is logged out. How is that possible?

    That shouldn’t be the case. Kindly check using twentytwelve theme to see if that is the case. If it works out good on the twentytwelve theme then the theme you are using is in question. Otherwise check by disabling other plugins to see if that fixes it and if that does, you may need to worry about the plugin in question.
