    This is the error I get.

    W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place.     Go into the wp-content folder with ftp (or file manager if you use cpanel) and delete the db.php and advanced-cache.php files then reinstall W3TC.

    someone can tell me how to remove this issue

    I’ve followed the steps for deleting residual files, as seen here http://www.shoutmeloud.com/how-to-delete-uninstall-w3-total-cache-wordpress-plugin.html, but I’m still getting this error as well.

    I completely deleted all of the w3tc files, then installed the plugin again. That resolved the issue. 

    
/plugins$ rm -rf w3-total-cache
/plugins$ rm w3tc-wp-loader.php
/wp-content$ rm -rf w3tc-configs
/wp-content$ cd w3tc-config
/wp-content$ wp plugin install w3-total-cache

    Oh thanks a lot guys for your valuable informations. My wordpress multisite http://exploremyindia.in/ had crashed due to malfunctioning of W3 Total Cache plugin during installing some updates. Finally I have resolved it.

    Do we have to reinstall W3? Is it really worth it? Any opinions on that vs another Cache pluggin?
