Hello @superiordm
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to help!
Can you please re-activate the W3 Total Cache and disable minify in Performance>General settings, save all settings, purge the cache, and see if the issue persists?
If the issue is gone, re-enable minify, and disable the settings in Performance>minify one by one (HTML minify, JS minify, CSS minify) and see which one might be causing the issue.
Make sure to save all settings and purge the cache after each option is disabled.
Thanks!
Hi Marko,
Thank you for your guidance here, I have gone through and disabled each setting one by one as suggested and it looks like its the CSS minify that is causing the site to not load correctly.
I have left this setting off for now, and kept the rest of the minify settings enabled. Please let me know what is the next step for us to resolve this issue.
Thank you again for your support here so far.
Hello @superiordm
Thank you for your feedabck.
Can you please share the screenshot of the Performance>Minify>CSS settings so I can check the configuration?
Thanks!
Hi Marko,
Sure thing! Here is the screenshot – https://confettiandcoevents.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Screenshot-2024-03-06-at-12.14.47.png
Thank you again for your support here, please let me know if you need anything else in the meantime.
Hello @superiordm
Thank you for your feedback. So the config is standared, and this means that some of the CSS files should not be minified in yoru case.
The files loading on your homepage:
/wp-content/themes/boss-pro/style.css
/wp-includes/css/dist/block-library/style.min.css
/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/assets/css/woocommerce-layout.css
/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/assets/css/woocommerce.css
/wp-content/plugins/simple-social-icons/css/style.css
/wp-content/plugins/wpstudio-testimonial-slider/assets/css/lightslider.css
/wp-content/plugins/wpstudio-testimonial-slider/assets/css/gts-style.css
/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/assets/css/woocommerce-smallscreen.css
What you should try in your case is to enable CSS Minify and add each line one by one in Performance>Minify>Advanced>Never Cache following CSS files, saving the settings and purging the cache after each line is added and checking the website in incognito (hard reload) to see which file should remain excluded from the CSS minify.
I hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
So I had the same issue.
In my case it was impacting also jquery as example (not just css).
Some CSS files weren’t found with a 404 and others responded with a wrong mime type (browser).
Right now I just disabled the minification and everything works.
Hello @mte90
This is a different issue. For @superiordm the problem is that some css files should not be loaded at all.
If convenient please open a new topic and share the website URL as these issues are evironment specific (plugins, themes, server config)
Thanks!
Hi @vmarko,
I have the same issue with @superiordm my site breaks when W3 total cache is activated.
I tried re-activating the W3 Total Cache disabled minify in Performance>General settings, saved all settings, and purged the cache and the output is the same, still breaks my site.
Looking forward hearing from you! thanks.
