• I just converted my site over from http to https but now I have a problem, seemingly with w3 TotalCache.

If I purge the page cache, all formatting/layout is lost on a number (not all) of my site’s pages.

My hosting company said that I can fix this in C-Panel by going to the wp-content file and renaming a file called ‘cache’ to, for example, ‘cachex’.

I did this and it worked.

They also suggested that I delete W3 Total Cache then reinstall it and that ‘should’ fix it permanently. i.e. the fresh install should help w3 total cache to know that I am now on https.

I did as they suggested, but as soon as I reinstalled it, it created a new file called Cache inside wp-content and, once again, all formatting/layout was lost on a number of pages.

Any suggestions as to how to fix this would be appreciated.

  • @scapido have you checked the option “Cache SSL (https) requests” in the page cache settings?

@nigro.simone Sorry, only just seen your reply. No I haven’t checked that option – didn’t realise I had that setting. I’ll report back here if that works. Here’s hoping! Thanks a lot, I really appreciate your input! 🙂
