That was the error message when I changed the name of the plugin W3 and tried to reload the web page:
W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home1/nicky/public_html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php.

I deleted the plugin and I eliminate the residual entries in the .htaccess file.
I also deleted the wp-content files and folders: cache folder, w3tc-config folder, upgrade folder, w3-total-cache folder in wp-content/plugins.
Still nothing
Hello @zigzagmallorca
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to help!
Can you please share when exacly have you started to ecperience the problem? With the W3TC enabled or disabled?
Have you tried reaching to your hosting support and see what is the issue? Why did you rename the folder of the plugin and was the plugin disabled priort to renaming the folder? Do you have any other layer of caching or any other optimization plugin?
Thanks!
I started to experience the problem 5 days ago, on the 20th of November. W3TC was enabled.
Plugins I’m currently using: wpforms-lite; wp-file-manager; wordpress-seo; widget-google-reviews; updraftplus; ultimate-addons-for-gutenberg; uk-cookie-consent; travel-payouts; tabs-pro; table-press; really-simple-ssl; officeial-facebook-pixel; insert-headers-and-footers; essential-blocks; essential-addons-for-elementor-lite; elementor; duplicate-post; contact-form-7; complianz-gdpr; code-snippets; checkfront-wp-booking; astra-sites.
