W3 Total Cache + WP Web Scraper
-
I use the WP Web Scraper plugin, which “scrapes” content from another URL and inserts it as HTML into your own webpage. ( https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-web-scrapper/ )
That plugin can crudely cache the scraped info, but recommends the use of a caching plugin instead. I installed and set up W3 Total Cache for this (and other) reasons.
I turned off the caching feature in WP Web Scraper and am now relying on the W3 Total Cache’s cache instead. Here’s the problem:
Occasionally, the place where the “scraped” content should appear on my page turns up a blank; no content where the scraped content should be. Flushing the W3 Total Cache’s cache fixes this, but only after we have noticed that the info is “missing in action” and manually flushed the cache.
Any guesses why the info might occasionally disappear like that?
By the way, I have a related question, still unanswered, on the WP Web Scraper support forum here:
