    Hi,

    I have created just an informative website by wordpress, I want to add searching functionality in my website, and i want actually the searching will be based on page content text. currently the search is running on page title and post title.

    Example :- when i search the john, so if the john word is still in any page of website, so search will be show on result page. Like that page will be show, which has hold the “john” word.

  • I recommend Relevanssi. I use it on a few of my sites and it works great for searching.

    I included a link, but here are some of the key features as well.
    – Search results sorted in the order of relevance, not by date.
    – Fuzzy matching: match partial words, if complete words don’t match.
    – Find documents matching either just one search term (OR query) or require all words to appear (AND query).
    – Search for phrases with quotes, for example “search phrase”.
    – Create custom excerpts that show where the hit was made, with the search terms highlighted.
    – Highlight search terms in the documents when user clicks through search results.
    – Search comments, tags, categories and custom fields.

    Thanks for reply “gilmoursa”, can you please tell me how to integrate Relevanssi in website, because there is no shortcode to integrate plugin.

    Or can we replace the default WordPress search for with an instance of Relevanssi.
