Wanting to create another website

    Hi all,

    Being a rank amateur at WordPress I have built my first website and its now going ok.

    Now I want to use one of my spare domain names to build another totally different site (not related to the first) I will set up a cloud-hosting package with my web-hosting Company and am using Filezilla. I want to access each website via separate passwords.

    Do I just get my web hosting company to host the domain name as I did with the first, the access via Filezilla using my current WordPress download? – (I have the latest WordPress version on my computer which is used for the current site)

    Do I use the same WordPress download or need to download WordPress again in a separate file? This is where I am confused after reading too many rather complex explanations! Basically, is there a simple way to create my second site??

    To do a second site you should upload the WordPress files to a new hosting account on your server, and use a new database. The new database isn’t required, but it’s a safer and more convinient option if you ever want to move things around in the future. When you’ve ot that set up point the domain name that you want to use to your server, and it will work.

    It’s pretty much that simple. Just follow the same way that you installed the first site, and place it in it’s own folder so it’s separate.
