• I messed something up yesterday. I was having trouble getting Facebook to recognize images in my posts when I was linking them to my page, and so I added a couple plugins (Add image_src meta tag, and W3 Total Cache) at the advice of a blog article I read on solving the problem, but I also tried copying and pasting some sort of code to my theme functions editor that was also advised. It made the text of the code appear above my header, so I deleted it. I think I screwed something up though in the process, because now whenever I try to do ANYTHING on WP (save a draft, moderate a comment), I get this message:

    `<img src=”http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6078/6160456764_28e64f20fd_b.jpg” width=”1024″ height=”63″ alt=”Picture 10″>

I am still really new at all this and I have very limited knowledge about html and all the other technical stuff when it comes to blogging. I’m trying to learn but a lot of this is still over my head, so, sorry for the noob-ness. Any help would be SO so appreciated. (My blog is ButterBeliever.com if that helps)

    Give this a try:

If you have FTP access to your blog, make a backup of your wp-content/themes/magazine-basic/functions.php file. Save it somewhere just in case.

Download to your PC the original unmodified theme from here to your PC or Mac.

    http://ww.wp.xz.cn/extend/themes/magazine-basic

Extract only the functions.php file from the zip file and overwrite the existing one (after you’ve backed the existing one).

    See if that helps.

Jan, thank you SO MUCH. Your clear and simple directions were easy to follow and it solved the problem smoothly. I wish I had a little Jan handbook for all this technical WP stuff I can never seem to understand!! Thank you.

You are entirely welcome. Don’t forget to mark this resolved. 🙂
